- Pyotr Vasilyevich Merkuryev-Meyerhold was born in 1943, in Tomsk province, Siberia, USSR. His father, Vasiliy Merkurev, was a famous Russian film star and stage actor of the St. Petersburg Pushkin (Aleksandrinsky) Theatre. His mother, Irina Vsevolodovna Meyerhold, was the daughter of the legendary director Vsevolod Meyerhold. Young Pyotr Merkuryev was brought up in a special intellectual environment in the family of his famous parents, and received an excellent education. He also received formal education in music history at the College of Leningrad Conservatory and as a choir director at the College of Moscow Conservatory. He received a masters degree in music from the Charkov Institute of Arts.
Pyotr Vasilyevich Merkuryev made his film acting debut in 1958, in musical film 'Nevskie Melodii', and made his actor-father proud of his acting. Pyotr Merkuryev-Meyerhold played over 50 roles in film and on television. He worked with such directors as Mark Donskoy, Sergey Bondarchuk, Elem Klimov, Eldar Ryazanov, Aleksey German, and others. Pyotr Merkuryev made a remarkable portrayal of his grandfather Vsevolod Meyerhold in film 'Ya - Aktrisa', where his partner was Natalya Sayko. Pyotr Merkuryev-Meyerhold is also known as a journalist and musical critic. Since 1989 he has been a staff writer for the "Muzykalnoe Obozrenie" (Music Revue) newspaper in Russia. He died on September 27, 2010, in Moscow, Russia. - Director

Vladimir Laptev was born on 25 September 1946 in Kolpashevo, Tomsk Oblast, RSFSR, USSR. He was a director and assistant director, known for Zaliv schastya (1987), Okhota na Edinoroga (1990) and Likha beda nachalo (1986). He died on 30 March 2016.
